1. Who we are

Polyglottika SAS ('Polyglottika', 'we', 'us') operates the Polyglottika language-learning platform, including the polyglottika.com website, mobile apps, and API. Our registered office is in Paris, France.

2. What we collect

Account data: email, display name, password hash, chosen CEO patron, and language preferences.

Learning data: SRS reviews, session length, streaks, and vocabulary progression. This is what we use to personalize your path.

Device & log data: IP address, device model, OS version, and crash reports for reliability.

Payment data is handled by our processors (Stripe, Paddle). We never see your full card number.

3. How we use your data

To provide the service: schedule reviews, suggest scenes, sync progress across devices.

To improve the product: aggregate, anonymized analytics that never identify you individually.

To communicate: transactional emails you cannot opt out of (billing, security), and marketing emails you can opt out of at any time.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Contract: to deliver the service you signed up for.

Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, product analytics, service improvement.

Consent: marketing emails and optional cookies. You can withdraw consent any time.

5. Data residency & subprocessors

EU users' data is stored on servers in Frankfurt (AWS eu-central-1). JP business customers can opt into Tokyo residency.

Subprocessors include AWS, Stripe, Paddle, Sentry, and Plausible Analytics. A live list is available on request.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent laws, you may access, correct, port, or delete your personal data. Email privacy@polyglottika.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Children

Polyglottika is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors without verifiable parental consent.
